Executive chairman for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei, on Sunday organized a get-together for players and officials of Kotoko as a show of appreciation and to further encourage the team in their campaign in Africa.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated Zesco United of Zambia 2-1 last Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to boost their chances of qualifying out of their group in this years CAF Confederation cup.

Ahead of their departure to Zambia to play Nkanna FC this weekend, Executive Chairman Of the club, Dr. Kwame Kyei organized a get-together with players and officials of the club at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi after the team went to church earlier in that day to thank God for bringing them this far in the competition.

Dr. Kyei encouraged the team to remain focus and go all out against Nkanna FC on Sunday.

Kotoko is in Group C together with Al-Hilal Of Sudan and Zambian duo Zesco Utd and Nkanna FC.

All three teams are squared on three points after the second round of group matches.
