Dr. Bawumia urges police to maintain professionalism ahead of the December elections

The Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs has commended Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for being the first dignitary and non-member of Asanteman to visit them.

Dr. Bawumia and his campaign team were welcomed at the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs in Kumasi by Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, who spoke on behalf of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu.

Daasebre Osei Bonsu II expressed gratitude and admiration, highlighting that the Queen mothers’ presence before 9 AM signified the high regard in which Dr. Bawumia is held.

As part of his “Bold Solutions for the Future” campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia has visited 15 regions so far. His tour in the Ashanti region began on Monday, June 10, 2024, and it will last for a period of three days.

On day one , Dr. Bawumia was scheduled to meet with clergy and Muslim leaders at the Kumasi Central Mosque in the afternoon and later engage with traders at the Kumasi Central Market and various professional bodies, including the Ghana Medical Association, Ghana Bar Association, Ghana Journalists Association, University Teachers Association of Ghana, Ghana National Association of Teachers, National Association of Graduate Teachers, and Coalition of Concerned Teachers. Other groups he will meet include the Ghana Institute of Architects, Ghana Institute of Engineers, Ghana Institute of Surveyors, Ghana Association of Society of Medical Physics, Nurses and Midwifery Association, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana, and the Ghana Institute of Planning.
