The Member of Parliament for the Bosomtwe constituency and former Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has called on Ghanaians to remain calm and patient as President John Dramani Mahama commits to sustaining the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education policy.

Speaking in an interview on Epa Hoa Daben on Happy 98.9 FM with host Bismark Brown, popularly known as BB, Dr. Adutwum addressed concerns about the future of STEM education.

He highlighted that President Mahama has pledged to continue the initiative, which he believes is vital for Ghana’s educational and technological advancement.

Dr. Adutwum reflected on his tenure as Education Minister under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, noting the strides made in advancing STEM, including the establishment of the East Legon STEM Academy. He praised the school’s modern infrastructure and equipment, which he said significantly improved teaching and learning.

He urged the public to exercise patience, stressing that President Mahama’s administration is still in its early stages and should be given time to implement its plans for STEM education.
