The 13th edition of the highly anticipated e.tv Ghana/Japan Motors Corporate Run was officially launched at the prestigious Silver Star Towers, with the Group CEO of Global Media Alliance (GMA), Ernest Boateng, emphasizing the drive of the initiative is to establish a culture of fitness while pursuing humanitarian goals.

Addressing a diverse audience that included executive representatives from esteemed partners such as GREDA, Silver Star Auto, Lakeside Marina Park, Silver Star Tower Limited, Lakeside Estate, Run Ghana, Allianz Insurance, Yamaha, YFM, and Happy FM, Ernest Boateng expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support received over the past thirteen years.

He highlighted how the event has become a symbol of commitment, consistency, and humanitarian work, bringing together corporations, individuals, and organizations to promote healthy living and corporate collaboration.

The e.tv Ghana/Japan Motors Corporate Run has become an annual fixture on the 21st of September, inspiring participants from the corporate world to engage in regular exercise and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Beyond fostering a fitness-oriented community, the event has taken on a more profound purpose, channeling its efforts towards supporting the Ghana Blind Union (GBU) – an organization close to the hearts of both e.tv Ghana and Japan Motors.

Mr. Boateng emphasized, “The true essence of this run lies in our special focus on establishing a culture of physical fitness and generating revenue to support the Ghana Blind Union. Year after year, we have donated portions of the proceeds obtained from the e.tv Ghana/Japan Motors Corporate Run to the GBU, making a positive impact on the lives of visually impaired individuals.”

The Group CEO further disclosed that this year’s event carries a pressing need to raise GHC15,000 in funds dedicated to the repair and servicing of a pickup that is a vital resource for the Ghana Blind Union’s operations. The initiative aims to ensure that the organization can continue to serve its members and execute its mission effectively.

The collaborative nature of the event was underscored by the presence of esteemed partners, with each organization sharing the common goal of promoting wellness and making a positive difference in society.

Registration for the event is set to begin soon as all corporate bodies irrespective of sector are encouraged to join this remarkable initiative, where the pursuit of health and humanitarian goals intertwine in a powerful demonstration of corporate social responsibility and community building.
