The Eastern Regional National Disaster Management Organization Director, Nana Kudjo Adukpo, has been installed as Sanaahene of Akyem Kukurantumi in the Adonten Division of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.
The installation, according to elders, is a recognition of his over two decades of dedicated service to the Okyeman community, marked by humility and integrity.
Kukurantumihene, Daasebre Boamah Darko II, who performed the installation, urged Nana Adukpo to give the needed respect to every Chief in Adonten Division. He advised him to remain focused on his duties and discharge them responsibly to transform the area.
“No matter what, not everybody will love you… some people hate me, and it’s part of chieftaincy issues. So, don’t respond to anything you hear, but remain focused,” he said.
Daasebre Boamah Darko II assured Nana Adukpo of his support, stating, “If you’re confronting challenges, kindly report directly to me, and the problem would be addressed to bring peace.”
In his acceptance speech, Nana Adukpo reaffirmed his commitment to serving Okyeman, especially the people of Kukurantumi, with truth and integrity.
He pledged to champion infrastructure projects in the area and thanked Daasebre Boamah Darko II and his cabinet for entrusting the community’s finances under his care. “I will not disappoint them but will work assiduously with them to strengthen their financial status,” he assured.
