EC still recognize Charlotte as its Chairperson despite being sacked by Nana Addo

The Electoral Commission of Ghana still recognize the yanked out Mrs Chairperson Charlotte Osei, as the leader of the commission despite being sacked by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
On Thursday, 28th June 2018, President Akufo Addo removed from office the chairperson Charlotte Osei and her two deputies, Amadu Sulley and Georgina Opoku Amankwah, with immediate effect.
This was after a committee set up by the Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo; pursuant to article 146(4) of the constitution, to investigate separate complaint brought against the three persons by Ghanaian citizens and therefore recommended their removal.
A Check by Happy FM’s Joseph Nii Ankrah on the commission’s website http://www.ec.gov.gh/about/leadership.html  indicates that the commission still recognizes Charlotte Osei and her two deputies as leaders of the EC in spite of their dismissal.

Efforts to know whether the presidency has officially communicated the termination of the commissioners’ appointments proved futile.
Meanwhile, Professor Ransford Gyampo, Head of European Studies at the University of Ghana has described the removal of the Chairperson of the EC and her two deputies as “legally wise” but “politically unwise”.
According to him, although President Akufo-Addo was right in acting on the petition against the Chair and her deputies, he failed to consider the future political implications of doing so.
