The Ministry of Education has pledged an extra $117.1 million to expand key interventions under the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP), reinforcing its mission to enhance educational outcomes across basic schools nationwide.
Deputy Minister Dr. Clement Apaak highlighted the importance of strategic implementation and rigorous monitoring to ensure the effectiveness of the expanded initiatives.
He underscored that improving learning in foundational years is critical for long-term national development.
GALOP, which targets underperforming schools, focuses on:
– Empowering teachers through professional development
– Providing teaching and learning materials
– Strengthening school management and accountability systems
This new investment is expected to broaden the project’s reach, bringing transformative impact to more communities and setting the foundation for a stronger educational future.
