By: Nana Antwi Boasiako

Founder of Grand Coalition Ghana (GCG) a political and economic advocacy organization, Mr. Afful Williams has urged Ghanaians to reject the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming 2024 December elections.

He expressed disappointment with the country’s progress since the 4th Republic, citing excessive borrowing and debt accumulation under the two parties’ leaderships. Mr. Afful highlighted unfulfilled promises made by both NPP and NDC, including one village one dam, one district one factory, and ten teacher training colleges.

He criticized the current state of the economy, citing rising food prices, rent, utility bills, high unemployment, and stagnant salaries, attributing these issues to poor governance by both parties. Mr. Afful is advocating for Ghanaians to vote against the NPP and NDC in the December polls, seeking a change in leadership.

Mr. Afful Williams also urged other political parties to unite and nominate a single candidate to lead them, presenting a comprehensive National Development Plan to address critical sectors such as the economy, roads, healthcare, and more.

He emphasized that, if these parties collaborate and present a superior plan ahead of the December elections, it will provide Ghanaians with a viable alternative to reject the NDC and NPP, offering a fresh opportunity for change and progress. By pooling their resources and expertise, these parties can create a compelling vision for Ghana’s future, giving voters a reason to look beyond the traditional two-party dominance and opt for a new direction.
