Prophet Kumchacha, Founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, has officially declared his full support for the Flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Rev. Kwabena Andrews, in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

The outspoken pastor made this announcement during the unveiling of GUM’s running mate on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Kumchacha noted that beyond their close friendship, he believes in Rev. Andrews’ vision and leadership. He particularly praised GUM’s emphasis on national development, job creation, and its focus on restoring Ghana’s spiritual and moral values.

“We’ve seen both military and civilian rule in this country. It’s time for a man of God to lead Ghana. The GUM party’s principles align with my own vision for a prosperous and ethically grounded nation. That’s why I’ve decided to form an alliance to ensure he wins this election,” Kumchacha stated.

He also made a bold appeal to Rev. Andrews, urging him to appoint him as a minister once he assumes office, so he can oversee the completion of the national cathedral project.

“Rev. Kwabena Andrews and I were the first to propose building a national cathedral for Ghana, but President Nana Addo stole our idea and is now wasting our resources. Once I’m appointed minister, that will change,” he claimed.

Kumchacha described Rev. Kwabena Andrews as the Kwame Nkrumah of this generation, expressing confidence that GUM stands a strong chance in the elections. He pledged to give his all in campaigning for the party to ensure victory.

He urged all Ghanaians and party supporters to rally behind Rev. Andrews, emphasizing that his plans for the nation would build upon the foundation laid by Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
