The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that nominations for Presidential and Parliamentary candidates will be accepted from September 9-13, 2024.

The nomination fee for Presidential candidates is One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC100,000), while female Presidential candidates and candidates with disabilities are required to pay Seventy-Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC75,000). These fees are payable to the Electoral Commission when submitting the nomination forms.

The Electoral Commission (EC) has outlined the requirements for submitting Presidential Nomination Forms. As of August 2, 2024, interested candidates can download the forms from the EC’s website (http://ec.gov.gh/forms/)

Completed forms must be signed by the candidate and at least two registered voters from each District Assembly. The EC announced these guidelines in a statement released on August 1, 2024.
