General Manager of Berekum Chelsea, Nana Oduro Sarfo has confirmed that he will be contesting for a slot on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in the upcoming FA elections.

This he confirmed on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports with Ohene Brenya Bampoe. “I have picked  my forms to contest for the Executive Council slot . I have the experience, knowledge and have been in the game for a long time. I must say the grounds are very fertile for me,” the experienced football administrator said.

He also rubbished claims that the Owner of Berekum Chelsea has denied him the right to vote on the team’s behalf at the upcoming FA elections.  “We at Berekum Chelsea have not appointed anybody to vote during congress. Nana Kwame Nketia has denied ever granting interview saying that they won’t  allow me  to vote or represent the club during congress.”

The contest for a slot on the Executive Council, hitherto the Executive Committee, and will be given a stiff race following the reduction of the composition from 23 to 12 members.

The GFA Executive Council elections are set to be held on October 24.
