The Ghanaian social media community has expressed discontentment regarding an unexpected power cut which interrupted the cook-a-thon record attempt of Chef Faila Abdul – Razak this dawn.

Power outages have been identified as a longstanding issue for decades in Ghana and has resulted in the damage of electrical appliances and the crumbling of many businesses.

The record attempt was nearly reaching into the fourth day, when the unfortunate incident took place, however Chef Faila was undeterred by the incident.

Chef Faila’s cook-a-thon which is being held at the Modern City Hotel, Tamale is powered by Nothern Electricity Company of Ghana, a subsidiary of the Volta River Authority.

She is presently on day 5 and has wowed spectators around the world with her charisma and strength even after 100 hours of cooking.
