Fastest Blind Runner to win cash Prize in e.TV Ghana/Japan Motors Corporate Run

Five (5) physically-challenged runners and their guides from the Ghana Blind Union (GBU) have registered to participate in the upcoming e.TV Ghana and Japan Motors Corporate Run on Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, 21st of September, 2019.

The Corporate Run and walk event which will take place at the Silver Star Towers will feature the five-Brown Nii Kwei and his guide Derrick Nii Armah Quaye, Nina Efedi Ojokrafor and her guide Ibrahim Nii Ayi Ayee, Emmanuel Dela Mensah and his guide Desmond Kojo Nyanne, Rebecca Amponsah and her guide Emmanuel K. Quartey, Joseph Essien and his guide Tetteh Wisdom.

Speaking about the registration of the five, Mrs Nosisa Doe, Programmes Manager of e.TV Ghana said ‘’ e.TV Ghana and Japan Motors have for the past eight years set aside GHS 7 from each registration to support the Ghana Blind Union. This year, H. E. Edward Boateng, Ghana’s Ambassador to China is also donating Two Thousand Ghana Cedi’s (GHS 2, 000) to the Ghana Blind Union (GBU) aside from what is set aside from the proceeds of the Run.

According to Mrs. Doe, the fastest blind runner would win a thousand Ghana Cedis (1,000) also from H.E Edward Boateng.

She also encouraged first time runners ‘’This is the ninth year, so those who have never participated in the run should come on board on the Kwame Nkrumah memorial Day to exercise with their colleagues and other corporate organisations and also gain inspiration and motivation to improve their overall health.
