The Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, will present the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana to Parliament on Thursday, 13 November 2025.
The announcement was made by Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga while speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama. He cited Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution and urged all MPs to be present.
Ayariga also reminded ministries and agencies to submit their budget estimates early to allow timely consideration and called for a post‑budget workshop details of which will be communicated later to enable legislators to analyse the figures.
He added that, in line with Orders 216(2) and 67 of Parliament’s Standing Orders, committee business will continue during the week of the budget presentation.
The budget, the first full‑year fiscal plan of the current administration, is expected to outline tax reforms, job‑creation measures and strategies for managing the deficit as Ghana moves beyond its IMF programme.
