The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has completed the first phase of its 2025/2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, successfully screening close to 17,000 prospective recruits.
The exercise resumed on November 20, 2025, following a week-long suspension triggered by a tragedy that occurred at El Wak Sports Stadium on November 12. It concluded on Monday, November 24, with officials describing the process as smooth and efficient.
Applicants underwent a rigorous two-step screening procedure, beginning with strict document authentication, followed by an intensive body selection inspection. Recruitment officers ensured that only candidates who met the physical, moral, and professional standards of the military advanced in the process.
As part of the vetting, individuals with double ear piercings, visible tattoos, or body drawings were instantly disqualified, in line with GAF’s strict regulations on body markings.
Public Relations Officer, Captain Tey, confirmed the successful completion of Phase One, stressing that only applicants who passed all assessments will progress to the next stage of recruitment.
