The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that the 2025 school placement exercise will officially begin on September 17, 2025, following the release of provisional BECE results.

At a media briefing on Wednesday, August 27, GES Director-General Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis revealed that students placed in schools are expected to report between October 18 and 20.

To reduce placement errors, GES has introduced a review window from September 1 to 8, allowing candidates to verify their details, such as gender, school code, and programme code—on the CSSPS portal.

“Candidates will have the opportunity to review the entries they have made… This will be supported by an explainer video to guide parents,” Prof. Davis said.

He also cautioned against bribery in the placement process.

“The process will be fair, transparent, and merit-based.”

The initiative aims to streamline school placements and ensure a smooth transition for students entering senior high schools.
