The Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Kurt Okraku has announced a significant increase in referee allowances for the Ghana Premier League, with FIFA-accredited officials set to earn GHS 2,500 per match and non-FIFA referees GHS 2,000, starting next season.
Speaking at the GFA’s 31st Ordinary Congress in Prampram, Okraku revealed that, “Each FIFA referee in the GPL will receive GHS 2,500 while non-FIFA referees will earn GHS 2,000 from next season.”
The move, Okraku noted, is part of efforts to motivate players, reward excellence, and enhance officiating standards in Ghana’s top-tier league.
