Ansah succeeds Kudjoe Fianoo, who stepped down after a lengthy tenure. The newly elected leadership is expected to strengthen GHALCA’s influence and operations.

In the Vice Chairmanship contest, Phyllis Marku successfully retained her position, defeating Nana Amankwaa Kwakye.

With three terms of experience as an executive member of GHALCA, Ansah is dedicated to steering the association toward a more successful future through ethical governance and unity.

The election saw participation from 134 members, including 36 from the Premier League, 48 from Division One, 30 from Regional Football Associations (RFAs), and 20 from the Women’s Premier League.

Koomson’s candidacy marked his third attempt at the chairmanship after previous defeats to Fianoo in 2016 and 2020.
