The management of the Nkenkaasu District Hospital under the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has issued a query letter to a staff nurse, Ms. Bernice Aboagye, for allegedly using inappropriate and abusive language against the Honourable Minister of Health in videos circulating on social media.
The query, signed by Dr. Samuel Freeman Mensah, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, accuses Ms. Aboagye of making unprintable, inappropriate and scandalous words about the Minister.
According to the letter, the hospital received several complaints from concerned citizens regarding the videos, which have reportedly gone viral on various social media platforms.
Management also indicated that the videos had generated widespread public discussion, with individuals expressing their disappointment over the nurse’s conduct.
The letter outlines three main allegations against Ms. Aboagye:
1.Use of unacceptable and inappropriate words resulting in rude behavior towards the Minister of Health, contrary to Section 8.1(c) of the Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures.
2.Use of abusive language against the Minister, contrary to Section 8.1(1) of the same code.
3.Tarnishing the corporate image of the Ghana Health Service and bringing the name of the institution into disrepute, contrary to Section 4.1(d) of the Code of Conduct.
Ms. Aboagye has been directed to respond in writing to the allegations by October 24, 2025, explaining why disciplinary action should not be taken against her.
