“Ghana is trekking on the path to recovery in all sectors of national life to deliver prosperity and dignified living conditions to the Ghanaian people’’ Dr Samuel Frimpong, the Technical Economic Advisor at the Office of the President.
According to Dr. Frimpong, the citizenry must continue to grant the Nana-Addo’s government all the unflinching support and confidence to build Ghana.
Dr. Samuel Kwadwo Frimpong, made these assertions when he honoured an invitation as a guest speaker to speak on the achievements of the government at Ho Technical University as part of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) event on last Saturday, April 14, 2018.
The well attended public lecture was held under the theme “One year of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo-led government; the achievements and its benefits to the citizens.”
Addressing the young patriots at the event, Dr. Frimpong averred that the economy that was bequeathed to the NPP government was on its knees and only survived on a life support.
He said “today, all the economic variables are moving in the right direction due to the prudent policies the government is implementing.
“The latest 8.5% economic growth has no equivalent in recent economic history. Inflation is on a consistent fall, exchange rate is stable and our foreign reserves are growing,” he said.
He maintained that the NPP in its first year of governance has commenced the implementation of the most ambitious cardinal policies and programmes.
He extolled the president for the about the pro-poor policies commended Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo for mustering the rare courage to start-off with most of the difficult but finest prograammes in the first year.
“Nana Addo and Dr Bawumia deserves to be enlisted in the hall of fame of fearless leaders for the courage and temerity shown in introducing the Free SHS policy, paperless port system, digital address and in restoring the teacher and nursing trainees allowances among others in the very first year” the Technical Economic Advisor posited.
He however, admitted the natural challenges faced by the government and expressed utmost hope in fulfilling the promises of the government nonetheless since the government has a four year mandate.
Counseling the youth who had gathered at the event, Dr Samuel Kwadwo Frimpong urged the youth to work hard and exploit the entrepreneurial packages the government is granting the youth to generate employment.
The public lecture also attracted the attendance of the Volta Regional Minister, Deputy National Youth Organiser, the Regional Youth Organiser among other dignitaries.
