The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reported 13 new confirmed cases of Mpox, bringing the country’s total number of recorded infections to 670 as of October 1, 2025.
In the latest update released by the GHS, no new deaths have been recorded, with the national death toll remaining at three since the outbreak began. Currently, one person is on admission receiving treatment.
The Service emphasized that Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with an infected person, and urged the public to adhere strictly to preventive measures such as avoiding direct contact with people showing skin rashes, maintaining good hygiene, and seeking prompt medical attention if symptoms appear.
