Danish club, Nordsjaelland have confirmed to Happy Sports that the seven (7) Ghanaian players at the club are safe amid the coronavirus spread in Europe, according to the club’s Communications Director, Christian Wolny.

Denmark has recorded a total of 1,132 cases with six (6) death cases.

Nordsjaelland has the highest number of Ghanaian players in their squad across Europe.

The players are Mohammed Kudus, Ibrahim Sadiq, Clinton Antwi, Abdul Mumin, Abu Francis, Isaac Atanga, Maxwell Woledzi and Godsway Donyoh.

Wolny was contacted on the welfare and safety of the Ghanaian players who ply their trade for the Danish side amid this coronavirus outbreak.

Speaking to Ohene Bampoh-Brenya, on Happy Sports, on the safety of the players he said, “everybody is worried; no one knows when this will end. We need to take care of each other and listen to authorities.

“We are doing everything we can and so far no one has been affected by the virus. The Football in Denmark was cancelled earlier on.

“Every player is isolated at home and we don’t train in groups, we only go outside when necessary. We train in small groups, right now it’s all about taking care of each other”.

He further said, some Ghanaian staff working with the team have been asked to return home.
“Right now no one is allowed to travel so we won’t. As soon as we saw this coming we sent our Ghanaian staff to back home so they can be with their families in time. The only players in camp now are those professional contracts, and we are protecting those here as best as we can”.
