As the we bring the curtains down on the 2021/22 football season, below is a report by Herbert Boakye Yiadom on Ghanaian players to have secured titles for their respective clubs.

Mohammed Kudus- Ajax

The Ghana midfielder secured his third title with Ajax as they retained the Eredivise title.

Kudus made 16 appearances for the Dutch giants scoring one goal in the campaign.

Injuries saw him miss most part of the season.

2. Elisha Owusu- Gent

Elisha Owusu won the Belgian Cup with Gent as they defeated Majeed Ashimeru’s Anderlecht on penalties in the final.

3. Osman Bukari- Nantes

The speedy winger also won his first career title with Nantes in the Coup de France. Nantes defeated OGC Nice by a lone goal in the final

The Ghanaian forward came from the bench to help his side secure a vital win in the cup final to seal a place in the next UEFA Europa League group stage.

4. Ansgar Knauff- Frankfurt

The German-born player of Ghanaian descent helped Frankfurt to their first European title in over 40 years. The youngster played a key role for the German side and was adjudged young Player of the tournament.

5. Andre Ayew- Al Sadd

The Black Stars captain clinched his first league title with Qatari side Al Sadd this season.

Ayew’s first league title in his career and his second trophy with Al Sadd after winning the Emir Cup some months ago

The former Swansea City and West Ham United star has since scored 15 goals in 21 appearances for the Qatari champions.

6. Samuel Owusu- Al Fayeh

Samuel Owusu won his first title with Al Fayeh as they picked the Saudi Kings Cup after defeating Al Hilal on a penalty shootout. The Ghana winger did not take part in the game due to injury.

7. Bernard Tekpetey- Ludogorets

Ghana forward Bernard Tekpetey secured another league title with Ludogorets this season.

The former Schalke striker scored 10 goals in 23 games for the Bulgarian giants, registering eight assists to help the team win the league title for the 11th time in history.

Tekpetey will be hoping his performance this season will earn him a call up to the Black Stars for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
