Ghanaians now see the NDC as the most trust worthy political party – Nat’l Youth Organizer

National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, says the ruling government has shown its true colors to the Ghanaian people.

He argues the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has over the period proved to Ghanaians it is merely full of talk as they have nothing to show in terms of achievements, making their bid to retain power in 2024 a fallacy.

Taking a look at the Ghanaian economy, he said, “Ghanaians have come to accept the NDC as being trustworthy. Looking at the Ghanaian economy presently and leadership of the NPP, every Ghanaian wishes it was different. They wish we have a new leadership in power.”

Speaking to Don Kwabena Prah on Happy98.9FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ political talk show, he stated with confidence that with this new found trust Ghanaians have in the NDC, “We know the NPP will not even poll 40percent of total votes cast in the 2024 general elections as they (NPP) has failed the country in terms of economic management.”

According to him, President Akufo-Addo is well aware of his party’s imminent defeat, but keeps selling false hope in his followers and party because he is a politician.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says his only interest is to see the New Patriotic Party (NPP) retain power in 2024 and has no preference for who becomes the presidential candidate for the 2024 elections.

He said his primary interest was to hand over to another NPP president after his tenure, stressing that he would do all he could to ensure victory for the NPP and the flag bearer who would be elected to lead the party.
