GMABC Grabs 8 Awards at 2018 Ghana DJ Awards

Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC) over the weekend swept eight awards at the 2018 Ghana DJ Awards which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
Six personalities from the respective GMABC brands were awarded for their hard work and contribution to the DJ fraternity in Ghana.
Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC) is the parent company for YFM, Happy FM, and e. TV Ghana. These three brands have over the years proven to be game changers in the media circles in Ghana.
The 2018 Edition of the Ghana DJ Awards dubbed ‘The Chosen’ was to honor DJs across the country and abroad making Ghana Proud wherever they find themselves in the year under review.
Happy FM’s Radio DJ and Presenter, DJ Advicer was adjudged the best Music Promoter (for the third time in a row) for his ingenious track selection and making hits out of songs, which hitherto were not heavily patronized by music lovers.
YFM’s Vision DJ won Best Night Club DJ of the Year, DJ Mic Smith won Best Event DJ of the Year, DJ Kess won Best Female Radio DJ of the Year. YFM Kumasi’s DJ Slim won three awards which are Hiplife DJ of the Year, Best Male Radio DJ and Best DJ Ashanti Region. DJ Aroma also of YFM Kumasi won Best Pub DJ of the Year.
Speaking about the awards, Edwin Amankwah, COO of Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC) said “YFM is currently the number one youth radio station in Ghana. We ensure that we have the best DJs and Personalities to churn out quality content and music to entertain of our listeners. Our DJs are excellent at what they do that is why they swept away most of the awards. Their hard work and commitment continue to reward them.”
“We are very proud of our DJs and Personalities at Happy FM. Even though the station is known to be the number one sport station in the Country, we also deliver top-class music, entertainment and current affairs to our listeners. Our hardworking DJs and Personalities keeping winning awards in the industry for their good work.”
He added that “The various GMABC brands are top media brands that push their staff to go the extra mile and be the best at whatever they do. Congratulations to the award winners and the entire workforce at GMABC for their hard work.”
