Mumuni, Abubakar, a scrap dealer, has been arrested by the Gomoa Ojobi Police District Command in the Central Region for stealing over 200 cooking and coal pots within a week.
The residents alleged that the suspect undertook that operation while they were away.
Many of the residents had expressed worry over their missing cooking and coal pots but were unable to unravel what was going on.
Following a thorough search and investigations carried out by some residents, the suspect was caught with over 200 cooking and coal pots hidden in an uncompleted building.
As a result, an opinion leader in the community, “Justice soldier” called for evacuation of scrap dealers from Ojobi and failure to do so will lead to vengeance.
Some of the residents expressed their displeasure after the police arrested the suspect.
