The Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Matthew Opoku- Prempeh has announced government’s plan to carefully protect investors and bond holders in the country.

According to him, DDEP bond holders have made sacrifices to the country’s economy by helping its recovery.

“I believe that if there are gains to be shared, it should be shared with DDEP bond holders before anything else”.

Speaking at a round table discussion with stakeholders of the Housing industry at the Bawumia Professionals Network, Mr. Opoku- Prempeh acknowledged their contributions to the country’s economy.

Mr. Opoku- Prempeh highlighted the importance of DDEP bond holders, urging government to fully protect them and give them preferential treatment.

“We must have a structure where we identify everybody who is part of DDEP and segregate them”.

He added that, “ if there are any contracts to be awarded let’s give them the preferential treatment because they sticked with Ghana”.
