Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayi Bontey has vowed not to invite Accra Great Olympics for any football tournament he is organizing over the disrespect he suffered last year.
According to him, Great Olympics disrespected him last year by refusing his invitation to participate in the 2023 Homowo Cup and play against their rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
This according to him is the reason why he has ditched Great Olympics who have been playing against the Phobians every year in the Homowo Cup and they have instead settled on Hearts of Lions.
“I will never and ever invite Olympics for any football game again because they disrespected me last year by not honouring my invitation,” Nii Ayi Bontey said at the press conference.
The 2024 Homowo Cup between Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions has been scheduled on Sunday, August 11, at the Accra Sports Stadium with kickoff set at 3pm.
