Ghana Women’s Premier League side Halifax Queens have entered into a new partnership with sports betting company Betika, who will serve as the club’s official merchandise sponsor.

The partnership was formally announced on November 6, 2025, at Betika’s head office in Accra, marking another major milestone for the rapidly growing gaming brand in Ghana.

Under the agreement, Betika will provide full support for the club’s merchandise needs, a move aimed at strengthening Halifax Queens’ brand presence both on and off the pitch.

Betika’s Country Manager, John Khawam , expressed his excitement about the collaboration, noting that supporting women’s football has always been a priority for the company.

“I have seen how Halifax play. Previously, have been supporting one female club and this is the second club we are now partnering,” he said.

He explained that Betika has previously worked with other women’s clubs and is thrilled to expand that commitment by partnering with Halifax Queens.

“We are looking forward to a long lasting relationship. We are here to support you on any merchandise that you will need because we believe that this partnership could lead to something good for both parties.”

He added that the company is looking forward to a long-term relationship that will be mutually beneficial.

Halifax Queens’ Operations Manager, Chester, welcomed the sponsorship, describing it as a dream come true for the club. He assured Betika of the team’s commitment to uphold the partnership with dedication and professionalism, emphasizing the club’s determination to make their new sponsors proud.

Betika’s Campaign Activations Lead, Sylvester Opoku, said the partnership forms part of the company’s broader mission to promote and invest in women’s football in Ghana.

He explained that the initiative aligns with Betika’s vision to support more female clubs in the future and help grow the women’s game to the level it deserves.

Currently in their second consecutive season in the Ghana Women’s Premier League, Halifax Queens managed to avoid relegation last term and are now aiming for a stronger showing in the new campaign, buoyed by their fresh partnership with Betika.
