Member of Parliament for the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency, Frank Annor Dompreh has urged president Akufo-Addo to halt the transition process to usher in president elect, John Dramani Mahama.

According to the Majority Chief Whip of the 8th Parliament, the president should halt the process till the Electoral Commission declares all outstanding parliamentary election results.

Annor Dompreh at a press conference held on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 11, 2024, also called on president elect, John Dramani Mahama to call his people to order.

“I’m pleading to the president to halt the transition process to usher in the new government because he who comes with equity must come with clean hands.”

“The process must be halted so that president elect John Dramani Mahama must show same equity and speak to his people to make sure that all the outstanding seats have been declared before the transition process goes on,” Annor Dompreh added.

He said this is necessary because Electoral Commissioners have made it clear that they will need a peaceful atmosphere to declare the four remaining parliamentary results.
