Happy FM celebrates Father's Day with Poetry Competition

In honour of Father’s Day,Happy98.9FM, Ghana’s number one radio station organized a poetry competition to celebrate the special bond between fathers and father’s Day with amazing giveaways.

The finals, which took place on Sunday, June 16, 2024 saw four talented finalists vie for the top spot.
Out of the over hundred poems selected from a pool of entries submitted by listeners, four individuals, Pearl Agbeko, Aku Sika, Deborah and Kate topped the list with their touching poems and received prizes for their fathers.

The lucky poet, Pearl Agbeko, the youngest of the competitors who showed her poetic prowess took home a blender. In addition to the prize, she will enjoy a weekend stay with her dad at East Gate Hotel in East-Legon. Aku sika who came second, went home with a blender. The other finalists were also commended for their exceptional performances and were each awarded a special gift from Happy FM.

The station manager of Happy FM, Kwabena Ampong expressed his delight at the success of the event. “We are thrilled to have provided a platform for our listeners to express their love and appreciation for their fathers through poetry. The competition was a heartwarming reminder of the special bond between fathers and their children”, he said.
