EDC Investments Limited has expressed its commitment to developing and providing tailor-made financial and investments products to Ghanaians. According to the Managing Director of EDC Investments Limited, Paul Mante, married couples can have a blissful union without financial stress.
Delivering his remarks at a courtesy call paid to his firm by the 16th Mass Wedding couples, Paul Mante underscored the importance of investment to married couples. ‘’EDC as a corporate entity is ready to partner with you and even do more than we did this year. Our job is not only making profits for our shareholders but to change lives and make social impact. Financial issues are the key challenges that marriages face, and if the couples would take what they were taught during the financial counselling, they will attain financial freedom”.
The Investment expert shared 5 factors for family financial sustainability. They included, planning for retirement, housing, children’s education, giving back and a 5th aspect he calls “highlife” which signifies an intentional decision to spend quality time and budget for the “soft life”. He said, “most marriages are what I will describe as a triangle from work, church and home but couples must try to have fun. When you plan well, everything is possible”.
The Project Lead for Happy FM Mass Wedding, Wisdom Agodza popularly known as Nyansa Boakwa on his part thanked EDC for the support and assured couples of Happy FM’s commitment to continuous guidance and counselling. He also called on all interested couples and young persons to pick up forms and register for the 2023 edition of the glamourous but all expense paid wedding which has been ongoing for 16 years. ‘’The success we chalked with this year’s mass wedding was because of EDC’s support in financial counselling and the provision of investment packages for the couples. Mass wedding is a CSR initiative for Happy 98.9fm to support couples to be joined in holy matrimony. As promised, we are here today to pay your outfit a visit and also fulfill the obligation of paying the investments into the accounts of the couples. We look forward to a bigger collaborations between our organizations and invite all interested couples to join us next year”, Nyansa Boakwa said. The brief event also served as the platform to finalize the investment accounts of the couples and payment of the investment capital organizers promised each couple.
Other dignitaries present were Timothy Karikari; Director of Broadcasting GMABC, George Koffi Nkunu; Digital Manager at GMABC, Bridget Mensah; PR Manager at GMABC, Stella Aklika, Mass Wedding Coordinator, George Shackelford; Digital Executive at Happy FM, Elizabeth Odametey; Head, Business Development at EDC Investments Ltd and Clara Nyame Addo; Head, Customer Experience and Marketing.
