Happy FM's flagship sports show, 'Happy Sports' shines at Foklex Awards

Happy FM's flagship sports show, 'Happy Sports' shines at Foklex Awards

Happy FM, Ghana’s leading sports station, has received three nominations in sports categories for the 13th Foklex Media Awards. Ohene-Bampoe Brenya, Emmanuel Fosu Appiah, and Kweku Ansah-Albright have been recognized for their hard work and dedication in the sports broadcasting industry.

Ohene Bampoe Brenya, who is no stranger to the Foklex Media Awards, has received his second consecutive nomination for Sports show Host of the Year. With his impressive achievements, including organizing the first-ever GFA presidential debate and being a member of the management team for Hasaacas Ladies, he is a strong contender for the award.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Fosu Appiah, known as “The Special One,” has been nominated for Local Sports Presenter of the Year. With his captivating voice and in-depth sports knowledge, he has earned a large following over his 19-year broadcasting career.

Lastly, Kweku Ansah-Albright has been nominated for Sports Commentator of the Year for the third consecutive year. His distinctive style of commentary and extensive experience in Ghanaian football have earned him the title of Ghana’s 5-star commentator.

Happy FM Programmes Manager, Kwabena Ampong praised the sports team for this amazing feat and commended them for their commitment to the sports fraternity . “We’re proud of our sports personalities for bagging these nominations,” Ampong said.

The Foklex Media Awards ceremony will be held on May 11, 2024, at 8:00 pm at the National Theatre in Accra. Fans can vote for their favorite Happy FM sports presenters through the Foklex Media app, the Foklex Media website, or by dialing 800600# or 92040#.

To vote your favourite sports personalities, for Ohene-Bampoe Brenya Enter 324 and follow the prompts ,for Kwesi Ansah-Albright Enter 338 and for Emmanuel Fosu Appiah Enter 526

With three nominations in various sports broadcasting categories, Happy FM is poised to make a strong showing at the 2024 Foklex Media Awards.
