Seasoned radio sports personality and host of Happy 98.9 FM’s “Wamputu Sports”, Joe Debrah has been nominated for the 2023 edition of the Sintex Ghana Media Personality Awards.

Joe Debrah has established a name for himself as a sports personality in the nation, therefore it comes as no surprise that he has been nominated for the Radio Sports program Personality of the Year Category at the 2023 Sintex Ghana Media Personality Awards.

The host of Wamputu Sports has carved a name for himself in the nation by setting the pace and redefining sports analysis across a variety of sporting disciplines throughout the years.

Joe Debrah has been in the media fraternity over two decades now and his relentlessness is nothing to be compared with. He is a character whose effort brings more diversity and life to the world of sports. It’s no surprise he has been recognized.

“Being recognized alongside colleagues who have helped the nation’s many sporting disciplines develop is a breath of fresh air. I’m happy that my efforts are being noticed, and this nomination spurs me on to keep working more to empower sportswomen and men and bring about constructive change in the sports industry. A big thanks to the team with whose effort has made this possible,” Joe Debrah said upon hearing of his nomination.

Programs Manager at Happy FM, Elwood Mante said “When Joe Debrah sets his mind to anything, he fully commits to it. He is unmatched in his commitment to bringing about positive change in the sports world, and we need more people like him. We at Happy FM are gratified by this recognition and delighted by the chance to receive an award in this year’s accomplishment award program. I want to take this chance to urge everyone to vote for him so that we can win this as well. Thank you everyone.
