The Parliamentary Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Gushiegu Constituency of the Northern Region, Alhassan Tampuli, has launched his manifesto and campaign for the people in the Gushiegu going into the 2020 general election.

During the launch, Mr Tampuli appealed to the electorates to vote the NPP and himself to influence more development in the area. According to him, this year’s elections is not between the two major parties (NPP and NDC) but an election to choose development for Gushiegu.

The CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) indicated he will win the seat against NDC’s Yussif Malimali with a wider margin.

He assured good leadership of hope and development to the people of Gushiegu if given the node come December.

The Gushiegu Constituency was carved out of the Gushegu-Karaga Constituency in 2004.

He appealed to the electorates to vote for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and himself on December 7.

Lawyer Alhassan Tampuli also at the launch highlighted on what he has done thus far in education, health, an extension of electricity coverage, digging of boreholes, provision of grinding machines etc.

Mr Tampuli was acclaimed parliamentary for the area following the decision to step down by the incumbent MP and Deputy Minister for Creative Arts and Tourism, Dr Ziblim Iddi in June 2020.

Since its creation, both the NPP and National Democratic Congress (NDC) have won it on two occasions apiece. At his campaign launch in Gushiegu, a confident Alhassan Tampuli promised teachers in his constituency of the distribution of free laptops to each one of them.
