The Headmaster of Big Six Educational Complex in Meduma has been granted bail following his arrest for allegedly detaining two students during the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Authorities say the incident occurred on Monday, June 16, when the headmaster reportedly confined the two candidates to a room, preventing them from writing the mathematics paper.
The students were scheduled to take the Mathematics exam at Simms High School in the Kwabre East Municipality.
According to reports, they missed the exam due to school fees arrears and their absence from a pre-exam preparation camp.
Police arrested the headmaster the following day, June 17.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service and the Kwabre East Municipal Education Directorate have both launched investigations to uncover the full details of the incident.
