The Minister of Health has assured nurses across the country who have experienced delays in receiving their salaries that the government is working to resolve the challenge.

Speaking during an engagement with health workers at Bibiani Government Hospital in the Western North Region, the Minister acknowledged the concerns raised by the affected nurses and appealed to them to exercise patience as efforts are underway to clear the arrears.

He emphasised that the government remains committed to the welfare of health professionals and would not relent in ensuring the timely payment of their entitlements.

“We understand the challenges the delay has brought to you and your families, and I want to assure you that the Ministry of Health, together with the Ministry of Finance, is taking the necessary steps to settle all outstanding salaries soon,” he stated.

The Minister further called on the nurses to continue to discharge their duties diligently while the payment processes are finalised.
