The Ministry of Health has announced plans to commence a nationwide recruitment of health professionals effective April 16, 2026, following the granting of financial clearance.
In a press statement issued and signed by the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Tony Goodman on Thursday, April 2, the Ministry indicated that the recruitment exercise will be decentralised and conducted at the district level based on verified vacancies.
It added that the process will be competitive and transparent, guided by an approved quota system across all cadres and year groups, while ensuring that all recruitments remain within approved budgetary limits.
Qualified health professionals have been advised to monitor official Ministry of Health and district health administration channels for vacancy announcements and application guidelines.
Applicants are also encouraged to prepare the necessary documentation and credentials ahead of the recruitment rollout.
The Ministry noted that the financial clearance granted for the exercise remains valid until December 31, 2026, and all recruitment activities must be completed within this timeframe.
It further urged all eligible professionals to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to strengthening healthcare delivery across the country.
