Vicent Odotei-Sowuah, the incumbent lost to the aspiring member of Parliament Joseph Gerald Tetteh Nyanyofio by a winning gap of 167votes.

Vicent Odotei-Sowuah had 376 votes while Joseph Gerald Tetteh had 543 votes to win the ticket on behalf of the NPP in the constituency.

According to reports, the former Hearts of Oak MD shared blenders plus cash of Ghc 50 to all the delegates in the constituency prior to the election but still lost the seat.
