CAF Champions League: Medeama SC thump Horoya AC to secure first leg advantage

Guinean football giants, Horoya AC, have declared complimentary entry for fans attending their crucial CAF Champions League showdown against Medeama SC next week. This encounter, set for the second leg of the second preliminary round, will determine which team advances to the group stage of the 2023-24 Champions League.

Horoya AC finds themselves trailing Medeama SC by a 3-1 scoreline after the first leg match, which unfolded at Cape Coast Stadium just last week. The Yellow and Mauves seized control with three second-half goals from Nana Kofi Babil, Nurudeen Abdulai, and Kofi Asmah.

To muster support and attempt to overturn this 3-1 deficit, Horoya AC has decided to open the gates for free entry to the second leg encounter. This eagerly anticipated match is scheduled to take place at the Stade General Lansana Conte in Conakry on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Horoya AC, aiming for their sixth appearance in the Champions League group phase in seven years, is determined to continue their impressive run. Meanwhile, Medeama SC is vying for their inaugural participation in this prestigious tournament.
