President of the Ghana FA Normalization Committee, Dr Kofi Amoah, has debunked rumors that he wants to resign from his position over alleged Government interferences.

Reports in the media suggested that Dr. Kofi Amoah was threatening to resign as president of the Normalization Committee of the Ghana FA over disagreements with government over the handling of the special competition for Premier League Clubs and Division One Clubs

Speaking exclusively to Happy FM’s Ohene Bampoe–Brenya, Dr Amoah rubbished these rumors saying, “It’s not true that I want to resign because if I wanted to resign, I will just go ahead and resign without saying it.I won’t disappoint president Nana Addo. He is the one who appointed me to lead this Normalization committee. I can’t even resign without telling president Nana Addo,”- Dr Amoah stated.

He further urged everybody to put their differences aside and come together to help bring back the game of football.

“We should come together and do this job for the country because Ghana football can be strong again,” he noted.

Dr. Amoah was appointed to lead reforms in Ghana Football following Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ ‘Number 12’ exposè. Football in Ghana has since been suspended leading to the truncation of the 2018/19 Ghana Premier League season.
The Normalization Committee has until March 30, 2019 to vacant from the office.
