Inter Allies midfielder Richmond Lamptey has opened up on his 40-meter strike that helped his side record a 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday three.

Inter Allies picked their first win of the season thanks to the wonderful strike from Lamptey in the 60th minute of the second half.l

The former Wafa player’s goal is already in contention for the goal of the season after his effort went straight into the roof on the post.

Speaking in an interview on Happy Sports on scoring that beautiful goal, he said, “I like hitting the ball from long range so this goal is not new to me”.

“So when I had the chance, I went straight for the target and I scored”, he told Ohene-Bampoe Brenya on Happy 98.9FM.

“I had an injury in our previous game against Karela United so when I hit the long-range and it reoccurred again”.

He added that the team is targeting a top-four finish in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Richmond Lamptey was adjudged the Man of the Match after the game against Hearts of Oak
