Multiple medal winning arm-wrestler, Grace Mintah has been promoted to the rank of Chief Inspector by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno.
Grace Mintah, who won two gold medals at the 2023 Africa Games has been honored and promoted for her service and dedication to the service and her country through sports.
The IGP in a meeting with Officers who are actively participating in sports at the national and international level commended them for their efforts and singled out Grace Mintah for promoting the image of the Ghana Police Service by winning medals at both the Africa and World Armwrestling championships.
“I have heard your name severally but never met you in person. You have made the service proud. You have been promoted to Chief Inspector with immediate effect in recognition of your achievements and sporting prowers,” IGP Yohuno told Grace Mintah.
Grace Mintah is an undefeated champion in the women’s 85kg for both the right and left arm in World Armwrestling.
She also won gold at the 6th March Armwrestling tournament organized by the Ghana Armwrestling Federation. Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria were the participating countries.
