The Ministry of the Interior has announced that the aptitude tests for the ongoing 2025/26 Centralised Services recruitment will be conducted online, as part of efforts to ensure a transparent and efficient selection process.
In a statement, applicants are informed that the aptitude test will be taken online and is best attempted using a computer system equipped with a functional webcam and microphone.
According to the ministry, the tests will be conducted in category lots. Applicants under NVTI/JHS/Sportsmen/Certificate categories will take the test first, followed by HND/Degree/Masters applicants, and finally WASSCE applicants as Category A, B and C respectively.
Category “A” applicants will answer 30 questions, while Categories “B” and “C” will answer 60 questions. The pass mark for all categories has been set at 65 percent.
The statement further noted that Category “A” applicants will be required to undertake an additional trade test based on their selected trade vacancies after the aptitude test.
The aptitude test is scheduled to run from Tuesday, 10th February to Sunday, 22nd February 2026.
NVTI/JHS/Sportsmen and other certificate holders will take their tests from Tuesday, 10th to Friday, 13th February. HND, Degree and Masters applicants will write theirs from Saturday, 14th to Tuesday, 17th February, while WASSCE applicants are scheduled from Wednesday, 18th to Sunday, 22nd February 2026.
Applicants across all services are required to log into their respective portals within their assigned dates to access the test link.
The ministry added that SMS notifications will also be sent to qualified applicants to remind them of their test windows.
Applicants who applied to multiple services will only be required to take the test once, except where different categories were selected across services or agencies.
The ministry outlined strict guidelines for the online test, including an enrollment stage that will verify the applicant’s identity, test webcam functionality, check internet strength and assess background noise levels.
Applicants are required to maintain focus and keep their faces aligned within the proctoring frame throughout the examination.
The test will be monitored using enhanced AI proctoring features, including session recordings and random snapshots, to detect any form of malpractice.
Applicants were cautioned that once the test begins, it cannot be paused, saved or restarted.
The test will be automatically submitted when the allotted time elapses, and all questions must be answered before proceeding. Any attempt to have another person take the test on behalf of an applicant will attract sanctions, including disqualification.
The ministry further advised applicants to ensure stable internet connectivity before starting the test, warning that failure to remain properly aligned within the proctoring frame throughout the test duration could lead to disqualification.
