Issac Dobgoe’s trainer, Barry Hunter has said that Dogboe lost the vacant WBO featherweight title to Robiesy Ramirez because the Cuban boxer(Ramirez) was allowed too much space to operate during the bout.

Dogboe lost to Ramirez when the two boxers went toe-to-toe for the vacant WBO featherweight title in Tulsa, Oklahoma City in the early hours of Sunday, April 2.

Following 12 rounds of action, the judges were unanimous in their decision, scoring it 117-110, 118-109, and 119-108 all in favor of Ramirez, who now claims the vacant WBO featherweight title.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Happy FM and eTV’s Ghana reporter, Herbert Boakye Yiadom, Trainer for the Ghanaian boxer, Barry Hunter said, “If you go back to the footage of the fight, anytime Robiesy tried to throw his left hand Isaac would try to evade the punch”.

”There were times Dogboe had Robeisy trapped and tried to make him uncomfortable but he was allowed too much space to operate and that played into his favor” he added.

The loss is Isaac Dogboe’s third in 27 fights.

This means this is another failed attempt by Dogboe to clinch yet another world title having won the WBO super-bantamweight title in 2018.
