'I've been under severe attack since I declared Patapaa deserved the ‘Most Popular Song Of The Year’ – Hammer

It seems fans and followers of Fancy Gadam are as vociferous as that of SM fans and it isn’t surprising that the former always refers to his fans as the most loyal on earth.
This year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was less controversial comparatively but the infamous Most Popular Song of the Year which was awarded to Fancy Gadam instead of Patapaa will go down in history the most unbelievable of all time.
Ace music producer and talent scout, Hammer of the last 2, just like several other Ghanaians, believe the award should have gone to the One Cornerhitmaker.
Moments after the award, Hammer took to his social media account to register his displeasure about the palpable robbery.
He wrote:
It was unfair on the side of the VGMA Board to urge fans to vote for nominees in the ‘Most Popular Song of the Year. This award should be unanimous by the Board and Academy.
However his opinion has angered a Fancy Gadam’s fans, who always attack him verbally when they get the least chance, according to Hammer.
In a new interview concerning this matter, Hammer said, “I want the supporters of Fancy Gadam to understand that, I’m not downplaying their boy.”
He said on Kumasi based radio Sikka FM. According to him, his comment made earlier was for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) organizers and not directed to Fancy.
