The nationwide talent search celebrating the arts and music, Orijin Untamed, has unearthed its Middle Zone Audition champion, Okyere Fred Acheamfo known by his stage name Jay Wilder. His stylized and artistic performance captured the attention of the judges and fellow participants alike, solidifying his victory and securing a well-deserved prize of GHS 8,000.00.

The Orijin Untamed Middle Zone Auditions, held in the vibrant city of Kumasi at Kumasi City Mall, provided a platform for a diverse array of talented artists, including singers, rappers, and mixed media artists. This event showcased their unwavering passion for expressing their authentic talents which was met with much praise and support.

The Orijin Untamed journey commenced in Bolgatanga and is set to climax with the final zonal auditions scheduled for November 11th in Accra at Kona. The culmination of this exciting journey will be the grand finale on December 1st in Accra’s JamesTown, where the Middle Zone Winner, Jay Wilder, will represent the zone alongside the first runner-up, Osei-Owusu Richmond aka Kay Magna , and other outstanding zonal champions.

Jay Wilder expressed gratitude to Orijin for providing the invaluable platform to share his remarkable talent with the nation and the wider world.

Yaa Amoah-Owusu, the Marketing Manager of International Spirits and Ready to Drink brands at Guinness Ghana, highlighted how this competition resonates with the brand’s recent campaign, ‘Celebrating Orijinality.’

“This campaign pays homage to the celebration of authenticity and self-expression, and the introduction of Orijin Untamed aligns seamlessly with this vision.

We believe the Orijin Untamed platform empowers young talents to pursue their passions while growing their creative abilities,” she emphasized.

Further exciting news is that the final winner stands a chance to win a significant GHS 80,000.00 cash prize. In this regard, creative artists and musicians aged 18 to 29, residing in Greater Accra, are invited to participate in Orijin Untamed. To do so, they can submit a 1-minute video showcasing original work that mirrors Orijin’s core philosophy of Orijinality. These submissions will provide a glimpse into the creative journey of each participant and will be meticulously evaluated prior to the zonal auditions at Kona.

Since its introduction in Ghana, Orijin has been redefining the flavor landscape for consumers, expertly blending African herbs and fruits to craft a distinct bittersweet taste profile. This exceptional taste is beloved by bold consumers in search of a unique and rooted taste experience, all while staying true to their cultural heritage.
