John Mahama visits Togolese President ahead of January 7 inauguration

President Elect, John Dramani Mahama has visited Togolese President, Faure Gnassingbe ahead of his swearing in on January 7, 2025.

According to him, the visit will strengthen the bond and relationship between Ghana and Togo.

In his Facebook post, the President Elect indicated that he has started visiting neighbouring countries as he prepares for his inauguration on January 7, 2025.

He emphasized that the visits will ensure stronger bonds between Ghana and countries within the sub-region.

During his visit to Faure Gnassingbe, John Mahama reiterated the importance to continue strengthening the bond and this can better impact the lives of both Ghana and Togo who are connected in many ways including tribe, history and economy.

“As I prepare for my inauguration on January 7, 2025, I have started visiting our neighbouring countries. In a meeting with Togo’s President Faure Gnassingbe, I reiterated why it is important to continue strengthening the bonds within our subregion. Working together, we can better impact the lives of our people, who are connected in many ways, including tribe, history and economy”.
