Kasoa shooting incident: Key suspect charged with murder

Ben Lord, a self-proclaimed chief, has been charged with murder and conspiracy in connection with the fatal shooting of a military officer at the Millennium City Police station.

Ben Lord allegedly opened fire on the officer, killing him instantly.

Following his initial court appearance on May 3, Ben Lord has been held in custody pending the outcome of the case.

The police have concluded their investigation and submitted the case file to the Attorney General’s office for legal advice. The Attorney General has since advised the police to proceed with charging Lord with murder and conspiracy.

Additionally, Nana Amoh Kwakye, the second suspect arrested in connection with the incident, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

The case has been adjourned until June 20, as the legal process continues.
