Some aggrieved youth and residents of Konongo in the Ashanti region are appealing to His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II and the Ashanti Regional House of chiefs to expedite action on the case between Konongo & Juabenhene settlement that has been brought before them.

According to the youth, they urgently need the intervention of the National House of chiefs as well as His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II Asantehene, before things get escalated.

The aggrieved youth and some residents blame Nana Otuo Serebour (Juabenhene) for causing confusion in the Konongo area, as the case sent to the Judicial Committee of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs for peaceful settlement is being delayed. The situation has angered some residents of Konongo.

“Whenever they fix a date for the settlement of the case, a part involved in the case, travels all the way to the Manhyia Palace and gets disappointed. They always find flimsy excuses to deceive them and this keeps boiling issues in the Konongo here. Why are they refusing to give them a simple hearing?”, some of the residents lamented.

Meanwhile, Nana Obrane Frimpong (Twafohene of Konongo ) appealed to His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II and the Judicial Committee of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs to look into the case and put the truth at the right place.

“We plead with them to immediately pay attention to the case. It’s been so many years now ever since the case was brought to. In fact, their actions are rather escalating issues”, he said.
